Kim Tae Yon |
And now Verdy have signed one from Fagiano Okayama. Our version is Kim Tae Yon who will be battling for a midfield spot after seeing (a little) playing time at Kobe before settling in to the starting line ups at Ehime, Mito and Fagiano. Looks like Kawakatsu has chosen him to replace Shibasaki and at 22 years old still has plenty of time to prove he can play higher up the league. Welcome aboard!!
Does he fill one of our foreign slots or is he 'Japanese'? Can I still keep my fingers crossed we'll invest in an obscure shithot, but more likely shit, South American who actually makes our play less predictable.
ReplyDeleteHe counts as an AFC player I THINK whereby players from the Asian Conference don`t count as "foriegn". We still have 3 foriegn slots open for South American dross. However, after last seasons performances by the youngsters we should stick with what we`ve got. If we can buy a QUALITY Brazillian then great but I would go with an average Japanese player everytime over an average Brazillian. South American means expensive and more often than not resemble Ronaldo, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho etc in passport only. Even moreso at J2. Hulk was a ONCE in a lifetime happening. Unless.....:)
